ABOUT US

Seneca Family of Agencies has worked to help children and families through the most challenging times of their lives. Their core values, mission, and approach have had a profound impact since their founding in 1985. They are dedicated to serve San Benito County with the opening of an office in Hollister to provide foster care, adoption, and mental health services to our youth and their families.

Kinship Seneca is a local volunteer group whose mission is to raise funds and support the services provided by Seneca Family of Agencies in San Benito County. The chapter has a long and distinguished history of service to adoption and child welfare. From 1956 to 1989, the chapter (then known as El Torillo Chapter) provided services and support to Children’s Home Society. In 1990, the members voted to change their affiliation to Kinship Center to see more of their fundraising efforts supporting local families. In 2011, Kinship Center merged with Seneca Family of Agencies to provide a fuller continuum of care, including mental health services.

In 2025, the Gabilan Chapter established itself as an independent 501(c)(3) organization and adopted the name Kinship Seneca, preserving the well-known name that the community closely associates with its highly successful annual Wine & Food fundraiser. Kinship Seneca tax identification #33-4562350.

Kinship Seneca has had several generations of members and is proud of the dedication of their Active and Privileged Members, some who have served over 50 years.
